I felt the hair on my arms stand up, and I felt the pain and desolation of someone who had just been diagnosed with the disease. I have read a lot about AIDS because of my profession, but I have honestly only encountered a couple of patients. Your poem made me feel how it is to be diagnosed with the disease, and how it could be so devastating.
